Marca Strategy joins Centre for the New Midlands network

Marca Strategy, the Birmingham-based built environment communications consultancy, has joined the Centre for the New Midlands’ Reimagining the Region network.

The partnership reflects a natural alignment between the two organisations. The Centre for the New Midlands operates as the region’s only independent, non-partisan think tank, setting the agenda on the policy, place and economic challenges that matter most to the Midlands.

Marca Strategy works at the intersection of planning, public affairs and stakeholder engagement, advising some of the UK’s most active investors and developers on major regeneration and infrastructure across the region.

The partnership is based on a shared mission to accelerate growth in the West Midlands - not just through investment or policy, but meaningful collaboration. That means bringing together the private sector, public bodies and civic institutions around a common purpose.

Membership of the Reimagining the Region network offers Marca Strategy a platform to engage at the highest level, contributing its expertise in built environment communications to the region’s broader agenda.

Will Savage, Founder & Managing Director at Marca Strategy, said: “I established Marca Strategy because I believe the Midlands is at a pivotal moment. The regeneration, investment, and infrastructure being delivered today will shape the region for a generation.

“Joining the Centre for the New Midlands is a reflection of that commitment – to be part of meaningful conversations, build lasting relationships, and play a role in supporting investment and delivery across every corner of the region.

“We will also be exploring ways to enable our own network of investors and development partners to support the work of the Centre for New Midlands – helping deepen connections between those shaping policy and those delivering on the ground.”

Marca Strategy will bring particular expertise in major mixed-use regeneration, purpose-built student accommodation, industrial and logistics, and the communications landscape around large-scale infrastructure.

Over the next 12 months, Marca Strategy will engage closely with the Centre’s programme – participating in roundtables, contributing to research and policy discussions, and connecting Marca’s network of investors, developers and public sector partners with the wider Reimagining the Region community.

Chris Smith, Founder & CEO at Centre for the New Midlands, said: “Having worked closely with Will for many years, we’re pleased to welcome Marca Strategy to our Reimagining the Region network. The team brings deep expertise in built environment communications and a genuine passion for the Midlands.

“With Marca’s expertise across the regional development landscape, and our network of policy makers across the region, we are confident our partnership can have a meaningful impact on growth and prosperity across the Midlands.”
